Rail use was dangling for about 30 mins between a U Street and Fort Totten stations during a Friday dusk rush since of a tiny glow during a Georgia Avenue station, according to Metro officials.
Smoke was reported in a hire after what D.C. glow officials pronounced was a tiny stop fire. Rail use was easy about 5:10 p.m. No one was injured.
The shutdown also influenced Red Line commuters who have had to send during Fort Totten due to ongoing repairs on that line.
It’s a second time Friday that Metro has dangling sight use on partial of a Green Line.
At about 9:15 a.m., a movement group suspended service between a Naylor Road and Branch Avenue stations since of a energy problem during Branch Avenue.
