Employee earnings to automobile plant that hired him 80 years ago

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (AP) – One of a western New York automobile plant’s strange employees returned to a bureau building to assistance applaud a plant’s 80th anniversary.

George Nash, who is 100 years old, returned to a GM Tonawanda Engine plant on Friday to speak about his time there.

GM says Nash was partial of a initial organisation of employees hired during a plant in 1938 when it was a Chevrolet Motor and Axle Plant.

Today, Tonawanda Engine’s scarcely 1,600 employees make engines for a Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette Stingray, as good as for a Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado and other SUVs and cars.
