Christian Brothers Academy primogenitor wins 2017 Corvette raffle

Christian Brothers Academy primogenitor Jeff Winchell of Cicero is a leader of a school’s 26th Annual Corvette Raffle, sponsored by Sun Chevrolet and

Winchell’s name was drawn by President Br. Joseph Jozwiak, FSC in front of students, expertise members and staff during a winter sports public in a John Lynch Gymnasium on Friday, Jan. 13. Also on palm were Todd Caputo of Sun Chevrolet, Mike Barker of; and volunteers.

Proceeds from a raffle assistance to advantage a Financial Aid and Scholarship programs during CBA.

“This is a 26th annual corvette raffle sketch and once again, it has been a success,” Brother Jozwiak said. “People not usually in New York State and Central New York support this raffle, though from all over a country. For that, we are so grateful.

“Since we began this raffle twenty-six years ago, over $4 million dollars has been lifted to assistance yield fee to students in need,” Brother Jozwiak added. “We appreciate everybody for their continued support via a years.”

Winchell’s daughter Madison, is a sophomore. Winchell can select between a 2016 White Corvette Stingray or a $35,000. Brother Jozwiak contacted Winchell by phone to tell him that he was a winner.

“You’re joking,” he responded when told he won. “I can’t trust it. we never have won anything in my life.”

The second esteem leader of $1,000 was Bruce Fontaine of Concord, Mass. Winning third prize, that was $500, was Tim Murray of Philadelphia, Pa..

“The corvette raffle is one of CBA’s critical fundraising events and something a propagandize village looks brazen to any year,” pronounced Annemarie Mosley, Associate Director of Special Events and Programs. “It is a critical partial of nutritious a superb programs and comforts we offer a students during CBA. We appreciate all of those who upheld this year’s corvette raffle, generally a primogenitor volunteers, and we honour Mr. Winchell, this year’s winner.”
