Alleged armed spoliation think from Utah prisoner in Wyoming, stolen car recovered

SWEETWATER COUNTY, Wyo. – A think wanted in tie to an armed Robbery in Utah was arrested Tuesday morning in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

According to Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell, during about 6:18 a.m. Tuesday, a emissary was told that a stolen 2018 Chevrolet Traverse with Utah permit plates was in a area.

The car was versed with an onboard tracking device that assisted deputies in locating it, Lowell wrote in a statement.

The emissary and other Rock Springs military officers stopped a Traverse and arrested a driver, identified as Brandon Mendoza, 46, of Sparks, Nevada.

“Mendoza primarily unsuccessful to approve with instructions to get out of a vehicle, though did so when a county dog emissary during a stage was readied for deployment,” Lowell wrote.

Lowell pronounced officers in Wyoming were operative with authorities in Utah as a review into a purported armed spoliation continued.

“Mendoza stays in control during a Sweetwater County Detention Center in Rock Springs tentative an initial justice appearance,” Lowell said.
